  3. Assess to any kind of technology for a reading specialist is very important. With out any kind of technology the specialist cannot record what they are doing with the chidren. They need to be able to access information on the computer, as well as past notes about the child. They need to be able to record what the child says and what their interactions are with each other. Not only can the use of technology be useful for the teacher and specialist but it can also be a great tool for the children to use. They can use the technology to interact with others and be able to interact with the speicalist when it comes to do the work that needs to be done during that time period.

Many students see technology as a fun process. If you can use technology to engage a struggling reader and also help them in the areas they are struggling then it can be nothing less than beneficial.
